This fundamental breach of basic public health 101 has deeply troubled me since I first heard about it.
As an infectious diseases specialist who has devoted a professional lifetime to helping and preventing diseases afflicting individuals and communities, I genuinely felt physically nauseated when I saw Edwards smugly claiming he was just doing what any other doctor would do, as though he was some altruistic martyr helping others despite great inconvenience to himself.
Doctors like him should have their license to practice revoked at a minimum, and it would be great if he had his pants sued off him for medical negligence by one of the people he attended to during the maximally infectious phase of this dangerous illness. I can’t believe he would have insurance cover for the eventuality of deliberately exposing people to a potentially fatal illness, but since this is the US, one must expect anything is possible.
Licence revoked? Sued? Yeah! BUT, also, this SHOULD be illegal and he should land in jail for attempted murder if not actual manslaughter if a patient actually dies form infection HE has transmitted! No… in fact, it wouldn’t be manslaughter… it would be 1st degree murder! He knows he has a potential deadly and highly contagious virus! In solitary confinement QUACK!!
I'm beside myself right now. I watched Maddow's video and it's unfathomable how this hack is being allowed near anyone's children. He's essentially shrugging off his symptoms and is being heralded as putting his practice before himself. That part really pisses me off. I just can't...
The fact that the "commander in chief", commander of what, certainly not the healthcare of the American public 😢
Any other president of the US from the past 60-70 yr's I am confident in saying would speak out about this graduate of a medical school...he should not be referred to as a MD...and unequivocally state the Surgeon General (possibly not the immediate superior to this individual) would be initiating an investigation with the Texas Medical Board.
It beyond sad the bully buffoon occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Ave might be 100 days in office and there are approximately 1,000 days remaining 😢😢
<< This is true. It's typical of alternative med practitioners, to blame the patient for not recovering. Kennedy has said that it's very difficult & rare for measles to kill a healthy child. So when it kills a child, this only further reinforces his rule: the child died, so we can retroactively conclude that she wasn't healthy.
Buried in the AP article is the doctor saying that he did not and is not treating any patients who don’t already have active measles infection. The “unbiased science” piece make no mention of this at all
that I saw- seriously biased and misrepresenting the situation.
Hmmm, so we should just...umm, take his word for it that all of the patients he treated already had measles??? Your logic also COMPLETELY ignores the fact that this behavior goes directly against infectious disease medical practice standards. It also completely ignores the questionable "treatments" he was giving. So where's the "misrepresentation" logic on those points???

Please join me in reporting this dangerous clown Edwards to the Texas Medical Board
Oh yeah, fuck his followers
I second this. Fuck them.

Thank you for this excellent update on Dr Edwards. He will hopefully have his license revoked!!
Wow! Just Wow! Dr. Edwards and HHS Secreteary Kennedy are "NutJobs."
I find myself without words to comment.

So. He's relying on "natural immunity," which is another way of saying "let people die."
Those who live will be immune to measles for the rest of their lives, and those who don't...
it was God's will that they die. Hallelujah and amen.
MAHA is eugenics

Dear God. This is horrific.

I can't help but wonder if increased prevalence of religious private schools and/or homeschooling are related to this.
