Excellent review. Many missing pieces, as you point out, especially lack of actual pesticide/herbicide data and time of residence near a golf course. Since the 1990’s golf courses have been shifting away from using standard pesticides to other methods of biological control.

I never really considered that living near a golf course could be (in some way) dangerous for your health! It's always beneficial, however, to take a moment and thoroughly examine studies like this without being swayed by the hype of the headlines.

Extremely interesting. The possibility of groundskeeping chemicals getting into the groundwater never occurred to me. Thankfully there are no golf courses within five miles of m.

So, my bigger picture is this: I live within 2 miles of not one, but two golf courses. At the same time, I also live within 1.5 miles of a world famous zoo; within 2 miles of a very active Marine Corps Air Station; within 2 miles of two Naval bases that dock nuclear fleets; within 2 miles of a major US air port; within 2 miles of a MLB stadium; within 1.5 miles of a NCAA Division I college stadium; and with 3 miles of three medical centers & research institutions that are among US News and World Reports top ten rated in the US. And what, exactly, does not carry the Prop 65 warning that something is known to the State of California to cause cancer, etc.? Between the pesticides, animal waste, jet fuel, nuclear whatever, and medical waste, they still refer to it as "America's Finest City." Go figure...

The biggest red flag when I first read the headline about this was, what link is there between pesticides and Parkinson's? Also the fact there is no measurement of pesticides in the water supply for these homes is just lazy.
