I still cannot understand how people with no medical or research or statistical background think they better understand vaccine data than all those who’ve spent their entire careers doing this. Thank you for your tireless efforts.
The real question here is; what is the gain of this? Literally killing children? The only outcome of not vaccinating is disease and death. I know a lot of people spreading this garbage are useful idiots, but is this seeded by China or Russia? That’s what I’d like to know. State sponsored misinformation warfare does seem highly likely. I get why the grifters push this, to make money. But just being against vaccination has no real endgame other than hurting the innocent.
When people’s identity gets wrapped up in antivax ideology & conspiracies, it becomes very hard to undo. The woman behind Thinking is Power does a lot of posts and videos on this phenomenon.
This is a decidedly biased comparison. You compare vaccine injury vs. the disease itself. This is a relative risk comparison. It's like comparing "getting stabbed" to "getting shot." You ignore the important fact that the probability of getting any given vaccine-preventable disease is rare. To make the claim of safety, we need to use absolute risk.
The long-term complications from measles that I see mentioned the most by people in comments sections (who have lived with those impacts since childhood) is hearing loss or vision damage - can you add that rate to the table?
We explained in the article why we did it this way:
Note: We ultimately modified the title of our table from "Deaths" to "Adverse Events" to more accurately reflect the data. While vaccine-related fatalities have occurred historically, they are extraordinarily rare with modern vaccines and current medical protocols. This extremely low frequency made "Deaths" a potentially misleading category heading, as it might suggest a more common occurrence than the evidence supports. "Adverse Events" better captures the spectrum of possible reactions—from mild to severe—while acknowledging that fatal outcomes, though documented in isolated cases, represent an exceedingly rare subset of these events.
Thank you for your tireless efforts in combating the constant flow of disinformation being foisted upon a gullible public by anti-vaccine activists.
Thank you for continually adding evidence-based info to counter the fake news noise!
Finally some sanity in a bat shit period of this country!

We literally did that in the table. Sources cited.
