Welcome to our bi-weekly vaccine policy series in collaboration with CIDRAP. Today, we discuss the growing divide between the government's words and actions.
Here's a new bit of idocy - cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. Leaving any community unprotected against vaccine-preventable disease imperils everyone.
"Bill requiring reporting of immigrants by public clinics, other agencies heads to governor’s desk" • Tennessee Lookout
"The measure explicitly applies to all 95 Tennessee public health departments, which typically serve low-income and uninsured patients with vaccinations, communicable disease treatment, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, breast and cervical cancer screenings and other services.
“I think that people who are undocumented or immigrants are going to be afraid of going to access vaccinations, routine health care checks because of having to verify their immigration status, and it’s going to hurt us all in our state…” Rep. Justin Jones, a Nashville Democrat said."
“The military flu vaccine mandate was removed. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that flu vaccines are no longer required for U.S. troops. The policy had been in place since 1945, largely as a result of the 1918 influenza pandemic that killed more American troops than combat.”🤦🤦🤦
I’m still hoping for the best despite what the clown show offers.
For every one that is completely brainwashed and continues to support the narrative b/c BIG PHARMACEUTICAL SAYS SO…take the time to be open minded and look how NEFARIOUS THESE COMPANIES AND PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS AND HOW WILLING THEY ARE TO USE US TO LINE THEIR POCKETS!!!
As a team focused on the digital reagents of science, we’ve been thinking a lot about the integrity of the data that fuels these policies. It’s one thing to have the right policy, but it’s another to ensure the AI tools and data repositories we use to synthesize that evidence aren’t introducing their own 'hallucinations' or paywall gaps.
