Happy New Year! Welcome to our first issue of 2023! We’re so glad you’re here and hope you all had a happy and healthy holiday season.
Unfortunately, anti-vaxxers are using the collapse of NFL player Damar Hamlin (as well as other athletes) to FALSELY claim their health issues are a direct result of the Covid-19 vaccine. While the mRNA Covid vaccines do carry a rare risk of myocarditis or pericarditis, it’s usually mild and resolves with rest. However, SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, is also known to elevate the risk for these and other cardiac issues, and typically leads to more severe, long-lasting cardiac dysfunction.
