Great piece! I have thought about this issue a lot as a man entering into science communication. I do think we have to meet men where they’re at, but also I think there has to be some pretty big cultural shifts around how men perceive health and their role in it as well. It’s ridiculous that most caretaker burden is still on women and men should not be okay with that. The fact that men’s health is so hyper focused on individual “optimization” right now I think further shows that divide. I appreciate you writing about this and hope that I can be someone to help in this area. You definitely can play a big role as a woman too though! Men have so much to work on and figure out and need ideas from everyone.
