I've been tracking and the XFG monovalent vaccine was green a green light by VRBPAC. A experimental mRNA vaccine that possibility provide protection against 3 strains of Ebola but that just in the development stages. There is a lot of potential uses for the technology.
The vagueness in the new charter language is doing a lot of work. "Balanced range of scientific, clinical, and public health expertise" without specifying composition or quorum requirements gives Kennedy meaningful latitude on future appointments while technically remaining within the court's injunction.
The real test isn't this charter revision but what happens in these meetings and who sits on the committee. Advisory bodies with no specified composition standards tend to drift toward whoever the appointing authority prefers, which is why the original membership criteria mattered in the first place.
